 Starbucks Survey Analysis

My reseach topics: Starbucks
Target: Kwanseikakuin university students who take professor Lafleur's class
Number of respondents: (5)

( Summary) Students answered 10 questions about Starbucks.

(Results)

Graph#1 shows that all respondents like Starbucks. In fact, 100% responded "yes" and there were no "so-so" or "no" responces. These results are not very suprising considering the popularity of Starbucks all over the world.

#1

Graph#2 shows that Tea Latte is the most popular kind of drink. Perhaps Starbucks' tea lattes are popular because of the wide variety of flavors they offer, such as chai tea latte, matcha tea latte, and roasted green tea latte. However, the fact that Drip coffee and Caramel Frappuccino were also popular was not surprising.

#2

Graph#3 shows that the most respondents often go to Starbucks with friends. The fact that many people answered that they go there when they are happy or want to relax is not surprising considering Starbucks' philosophy of being a third place.

#3

Graph#4 shows that most of the respondents know Starbucks Book & Cafe. This is not surprising considering Book & Cafe has 28 stores in Japan. Next, note that more than half of the respondents had not heard of Tevana and only 20% of respondents know Reserve. This is not surprising as Tevana only has 14 stores in Japan and Reserve only has one store in Japan.

#4

Graph#5 shows that most participants go to Starbucks once a week. A very surprising result was that one participant reported 10 times per week and one other participant reported 0 times.

#5

Graph#6 shows that the respondents' favorite cafe is Starbucks. This is not surprising, as there are many Starbucks in Japan. Finally, it is worth noting that DOUTOR and Komeda Coffee were also popular, coming in tied for second place.

#6

Graph#7 shows that the last time people went to Starbucks was generally within the past month, although it is important to note that some people said it was in 2004.

#7

Graph#8 shows that the best time to go to Starbucks is generally in the early evening or evening. However, it is important to note that some people say the best time is just before lunch, around 11pm.

#8

List #9 lists the reasons why Starbucks is popular according to participants. They are all very interesting reasons. Most particioants feel that the quality of the drinks and the wide selection are the reasons for its popularity.

#9

List #10 shows the participants' opinions on Starbucks' original customizations. Many delicious-looking customizations were submitted. Some people answered that they had never customized their drinks before.

(CONCLUSION)

The survey had some surprising results. These results will be of great interest to Starbucks and other cafes hoping to attract Japanese college students.
